As with many silicone products, the vulcanization (hardening) process can create a smell that dissipates with time, sometimes taking up to a month. Most silicone products take longer than that to go from production to consumer, so the smell is gone by the time it is received. However, sometimes our products go from production to consumer quickly in a weeks time. The best way to speed up the process of ridding the smell is to heat your silicone products in the oven at 200 degrees for about an hour or so.

Although each product is wiped down prior to packaging, we highly recommend cleaning before first use.
